FAQs

Our most frequent Q&As are listed below but if you can't find what you need to know email us via info@littleimagineers.com or via our contact form and we'll be happy to answer any other queries you might have about the Padoo®.

We have done everything we can to make sure your Padoo has a long life. Our UK manufactured
foam is of the highest quality we could find, with extra springiness and the fabric we’ve chosen for our covers comes from a European company with an exceptional reputation. It has an abrasion test score of over 30,000 rubs, a colour fastness score of 5/5 for exposure to light, and uses child and environment safe technology to repel stains and liquids. It also has a pilling test score of 5 out of 5, which means it won’t bobble. We offer the product with a 1 year warranty for any manufacturing problems but expect it to significantly outlast that.

We aim to fulfil all orders within 2 weeks and use 48hr delivery once your Padoo is ready to go, so you won’t be waiting long when your despatch notification comes through. We do our best to keep our colours in stock and ready to ship and we never delay when we have your order on hand. As with all bulky items, there’s quite a bit of work (and quality checking) to be done to make sure you’re perfectly happy when your Padoo arrives.

Quite quickly we hope! We use 48hr Parcel Force delivery to send your Padoo in 3 fairly large boxes (it is the size of a sofa after all!).

The delivery is fully tracked so you'll know when it's on the
way and likely to arrive.

The boxes are 79cm x 77cm x
30cm (2 of these) and 62cm x 58cm x 32cm (one of these)

We hope you’ll love your Padoo, and offer a swatch service to help you choose just the right colour for your home, but if you do change your mind once you’ve received it you are welcome to return it to us in an unused condition in the original packaging within 30 days of purchase. We will refund your full purchase cost, less postage.

Please contact us through info@littleimagineers.com with details of your order if you would like to return your Padoo and we will be in touch with further details. Costs for return postage will not be covered by Little Imagineers.

Each Padoo comes in 3 boxes, with your base pads, top layer pads and wedge pads in their own box. We’ve even added a surprise on the inside of your boxes because your Little Imagineers know the value of playing with a box!

Unfortunately not, in order to comply with the toy safety requirements, Padoos must be sold in their entirety.

Yes, absolutely! We've done everything we can to source the highest quality materials for our Padoos and to us that means absolutely no harmful substances and manufacturing in a way that complies with all relevant toy and furtniture safety requirements (EN71 parts 1,2,3 and F&F Fire Safety Regualations 1988 to be precise)

All fabrics, foams and labels are Reach Compliant (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals – i.e. the materials used do not harm the environment or human health).

In addition, all fabrics meet Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (they have been additionally tested for any harmful regulated or non-regulated substances).  You can check the certificate for our fabrics using our
label number: SHKO 108126

As part of our compliance with the Furniture and Furnishings Fire Safety Regulations, all foams and covers have been tested to ensure compliance with the relevant match and cigarette resistance tests.

You may notice that the zips on all the covers are locked semi-permanently in place. This is so that we can safely market the Padoo to under 3s according to UK & European toy regulations for small parts. The locks prevent the chance that an under 3 will open the zips, destroy the stockinette liner, tear off pieces of the foam filling and thus create small parts.

We know children will play with our sofas (and we actively encourage this!) and we want to market and sell our product as more than simply a sofa. We've had lots of back and forth with toy safety testing experts about the correct classification of the Padoo and we've erred on the side of caution classifying it as a 'soft toy' and inherently attractive to under 3s.

Hopefully you won’t have to! Our covers are liquid and stain repellent, which means that almost all spills and smears come off with just a damp cloth.

But yes, the covers are completely removable, and can be machine washed. However, in order to satisfy UK and EU toy safety regulations for under 3s we have put a semi-permanent lock in place to keep small fingers out from creating small parts.  We advise against removing the locks in place if there is any risk of the sofas being played with by under 3s.

Please see our care guide for futher information on how to look after your Padoo.

We care about foam. A lot. It needs to be springy enough to bounce on, soft enough to sleep on, and durable enough to keep its shape through energetic, daily use. This means we’ve thought about foam, researched foam and finally chosen the perfect the foam. We’re rather pleased with our foam.

Absolutely - in fact it's the perfect playroom sofa bed. Arrange the large cushions into a bed according to the size of the sleeper, spread over a sheet, tuck it in the bottom, add a soft pillow and a cosy duvet or throw and there you are. A bed is made in moments for a small or larger friend or relative. We’ll leave the choice of bedtime story up to you. It's perfect as a child's sleepover bed.

We’ve chosen the colours carefully to fit in with a more neutral room, or to add a splash of cheerful colour. We can send swatches to help you choose. If you need some design help, read our guide to choosing the right colour for your home.
